Mountain & e-Biking Tours

Let's go biking

The Franschhoek village and surrounding wine farms lend themselves beautifully to mountain biking.  What better way to explore the area, visit a few farms, take in the breath-taking scenic beauty of the mountains, and feel that you are getting a bit of exercise as an added bonus.

Various biking activities are offered in the village, from visiting wine farms or a longer ride around the village, to serious mountain bike trails (only for the very experienced) or what about using an e-bike and go for a picnic?

Wine Tours

The leisurely Mountain Bike Wine Tours are very popular and you can choose between visiting the large, more well-known farms or the smaller, boutique farms on the other side of town. Either way, you will have a short ride and lots of lovely tastings but fear not, you will be able to ride back into town again!

Scenic Tours

The Village Explorer route is for those who do not wish to visit wine farms and would like a bit more of a ride.  We take the scenic route around the village with a short uphill and a dirt road section.  We visit the Berg River Dam and stop for coffee on the way back into town at our local coffee roastery. Route is approximately 20kms long.

Mountain Trail Tours

For the very experienced Mountain Biker, we can take you up into the mountains on our very technical, single track trails for a thrilling ride with the best view.  Only available to those who know what they are doing with lots of experience.

E-bike tours

And if all this peddling is too much for you, we  do have e-bikes available to take you up into the mountains for a leisurely picnic.
